People Quit Things WAY Too Soon
We all want instant gratification. In today’s society, it’s expected and craved. If we can’t become the master of something in 30 days, it didn’t work – or worse yet, we failed.
Fortunately, that’s just not true. Most people go to college for four or more years just to learn about one subject. Then they go out into the world and attempt to master that subject by creating a career out of it. They work at it each and every day, getting better and better. Sometimes they have to switch careers, or do work they don’t want to in order to just make a living. But, yet, when it comes to starting a business like Beachbody Coaching, which involves working out, eating healthy, and talking to people, many look for the first little hiccup to use as an excuse to jump ship and quit.
You can see where the logic doesn’t hold up. You can’t expect to be successful overnight. I know I wasn’t. My first commission check from Beachbody didn’t come for months, and it wasn’t very big. I’ve been in the business over 7 years now, and my success took time and hard work.
If you want to be a successful Beachbody Coach, or anything else, you have to give it time to work. You have to go out there and really try. You can’t just workout a little bit, start drinking a smoothie once a week, talk to three people without any success, then quit. That’s absolutely the wrong attitude.
You. Have. Time. Say it with me: YOU HAVE TIME!
Quit trying things with the upfront expectation that they’re not going to work. The secret is to identify, deep down, why you want to start something new and change your life, align yourself with experts that can show you how, then give yourself permission to fail multiple times before throwing in the towel.
When I say “be here in a year,” that means I want you to give it at least year. I’ll be honest, if you can’t give it a 30 days, or think you’ll give up if you’re not successful in six months, this probably isn’t the business for you. Nothing worth achieving ever comes easy or fast, and the Beachbody Coaching journey, as a career, is one of the most rewarding paths you can choose to be successful at. All it takes is time, hard work, and the ability to let yourself fail without quitting.
