Take a chance on Success
Phil: So, Jimmy. We’re out here on a boat, your whole team’s out here, all the hard work you’ve built over the years, and everything, what does it mean to you? How’s it feel man?
Jimmy: It feels good. It feels good because this really isn’t even about, you know, my success or Kelly’s success or the business. It’s giving back and celebrating the people’s success that trusted us. That trusted us to get involved in a business that a lot of people are skeptical about, that a lot of people have fears and anxiety about, but the people that are on this boat are people that said, “Hey, I don’t know exactly how this works, but I know that I’m dissatisfied in my life. I know that I’m either stuck in a career that I make a lot of money that I hate, or I’m not making enough money or I’m not living a healthy lifestyle,” and they saw something.
They saw an opportunity and they looked at us and said, “Look, I don’t know how it works. I don’t know how you got where you are, but I’m willing to take a step and get started and learn,” and now, they’re living it. As a mentor, as somebody that takes so much pride in teaching others, watching others succeed, that’s the greatest part of all of this.
Phil: Would you have ever thought it would turn into this?
Jimmy: No! I was a fat kid and a 3 time college dropout. 100 pounds overweight, 3 time college dropout, there was nothing in my history that said that I would be successful. Much less successful for me, but to empower others to be successful, like, no man. I’m living a dream.
So, I’m just so thankful that I said yes and I can’t tell you why I said yes. It was just something in my gut that said, “Jimmy, you’re supposed to be greater and do something better than the life you’re living right now,” and that’s what I’m looking for. I’m looking for other people that have that same burning thing that says, “Man, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, but it’s not in the situation that I’m in right now,” and then take a leap.
