How to do P90X and INSANITY in an Apartment?

by Coach Jimmy Hays Nelson

I truly believe that there is a paradigm shift when it comes to people reaching their fitness goals. The new trend favors in home fitness routines over paying expensive gym memberships that require you to pack a bag, travel to the gym, cram all your belongings into a tiny smelly locker room and hope it isn’t crowded or that all the equipment isn’t covered in someone else’s sweaty DNA.

During my time in NYC I quickly realized weather is another element that might keep you from your daily gym workout. Who wants to walk through wind, rain, and snow to go to the gym first thing in the morning?  This is why programs like P90X, INSANITY, and TURBO FIRE are attracting fans at a record pace!

These programs are guaranteed to work, but what if you live in a city like NYC or just a small apartment where space is a premium – is it still possible to do these workouts?

If you have wanted to do one of these programs but needed to know how to do P90X or INSANITY in an apartment, then watch the video below for my solution to this little problem.

Fantastic idea bro! I was just thinking of ways not to bug my downstairs neighbors ( despite the fact that I warned them and he is a pretty young guy like me..I am sure it could be annoying at times. ) PLUS, he works nights and sleeps during the day when I workout!!! :/  I really felt bad.  But now I can workout AND have a happy neighbor!  I really appreciate the help and thanks for making the video!  Now I just may when that “friendliest neighbor award” afterall ! :p – Jeff F. Thanks for the video! I have the same problem. However, my neighbour is way more sensitive than any neighbour in the world. The great thing is he is gone most of the. My problem is the space needed for Asylum. I have Insanity and I have no problem with the space. But I would really like to pick up Asylum but it seems to need a ton of space. What do you think?

Good stuff Jimmy. I’ve been plagued with the same issue and have been working on doing P90X Plyo without jumping. I really have to get it moving. I think it makes it the workout more of a challenge.
