Keep That Fire in Your Gut Burning
How do I stay motivated on the days I don’t want to work out?
What’s the next thing?! I talked about this on my Instagram today. I always stay focused on my right-now goal.
Starting a work out program, losing the 5 pounds in front of me, getting into a fitness community…these are right-now goals! And if I stick to those right-now goals, eventually they lead to huge things. But I didn’t set out to lose 100 pounds. My goal was just to get through this one work out.
The people your surround yourself with should help you stay motivated. If the people around you are not supporting you, remember: your action-steps towards your goals will make people uncomfortable. It will hold up a mirror to them, to the things they’re not doing in their lives that they wish they were.
On the flip side of that same coin, you don’t want people around you who just rah-rah everything you do! Resistance is a great push! Use it!
What’s your external motivation? Is it a workout community? Motivating videos? An awesome playlist?
Whatever it is, use it DAILY like a crutch. I’ve been in this for 10 years and I STILL wake up to motivational videos and music. Every. Damn. Day.
If you don’t know where to begin finding that external motivation, I made something for you that I’d love for you to check out. Five Days of Fire is serious motivation that you can revisit over and over again as you need it. Go to https://5daysfire.com/ and see if it might work for you!
