Always Be Ready for an Opportunity
We’re backstage in Nashville Tennessee. Just got done with a super work out of 25,000 people at the Beachbody Coach Summit and I got to be on stage with Shaun T and ran them through the most amazing Insanity workout.
Seven years ago, we shot those Insanity DVDs and what I’ve learned this lesson is when two weeks ago Shaun like, “Hey man, do you wanna be on stage with me?”
It reminded me that Insanity is not just a 60-day program. P90X isn’t just a 90-day program. Any fitness journey isn’t just a definite amount of time, but if you create a lifestyle and continue working on your fitness and what you’re doing, when opportunities like this pop-up you can say, “Yes.”
I was terrified because I haven’t done a full round of Insanity in a while, but I kept my fitness up over the last seven years doing these programs being and maintaining and getting better so I was able to say yes. So right now, you may be doing fitness program and you’re looking at the end date. You’re like, “Oh, I can’t wait till I’m finished with it because then I can just go eat everything I want to and be lazy and stuff.”
Look, finish your program, celebrate it, and then pick the next one and get right back into it. Make this a healthy lifestyle not just, “Hey, you remember that one time I did 60 days of a program and felt awesome?” That was the time you peaked.
Get better. Do the program again. You’re gonna master the moves better. Pick a new program. Keep challenging yourself and always dig deeper. If you need an Insanity Coach, reach out to me!
