So, a lot of people ask me how I’ve kept off the one hundred pounds I’ve lost and it’s an easy question to answer. Consistency. Before I became Coach Jimmy and built my seven figure home based business, I was just Jimmy Nelson trying to lose some weight and be happier with myself. I didn’t like how I looked or how I felt and I knew that losing weight would be the change I needed to live a happier, more fulfilling life.
I was able to drop those pounds because I planned everything out in advance and stuck to that plan come hell or high water. When it came time to do my workout or eat a meal, the decision was already made for me. If it was leg day and I’d rather do arms or chest since my legs were still a bit sore from the last leg day, guess what I did? Legs. If I wanted to grab some Chinese food on the way home, but I had a healthy, prepped meal waiting for me, guess which one I ate? The healthy, prepped meal. That’s the big secret. Planning it all out and sticking with the plan.
With everything scheduled out, the temptation to eat a bad meal or do a different muscle group is so much easier to ignore. It still exists and if you’re just starting out on your weight loss journey, it’s going to be there for a while. Once you get into the rhythm of setting your schedule and sticking to it, it’ll get quieter with each passing day and before you know it, it won’t be there anymore. The calendar up top is the actual calendar that hangs on my closet door and at the beginning of each week, I jot down my workout schedule so no matter how I feel when I wake up and see what the day has in store for me, the decision’s already set in stone. I go to the kitchen, get my mind right for my workout, drink my pre-workout, put in the ear buds, and dive right in.
