Getting the 6 Pack of Abs
My fitness journey spans over 10 years. I have lost 100 pounds & kept it off. I have been featured in fitness DVDs Insanity & PiYO. I am stronger than I have ever been in my life right now. But only twice in my life have I ever had a visible 6 Pack of Abs, and those 2 times required some rather extreme meal plans followed by cutting water.
When I came across this article it spoke to me deeply! I know exactly how this chick feels. I have always found it interesting that how fit someone is can be reduced to one specific muscle group. I’m guilty of petty frustration when someone who doesn’t have my endurance, strength, flexibility, or eat as clean as I do is considered fitter because of a visible 6 pack that I lack.
So it was a nice breath of fresh air to see another example of a strong/fit person that refuses to allow their Abs to be the determining factor of their fitness.
