“I think one of the biggest things about this workout is you are going to be pushed to your max” – Brad
Coach Jimmy and Brad Review The Preview Disc Of INSANITY MAX: 30
Jimmy: What up! Coach Jimmy Here, with my buddy Brad. We just got done doing the preview disc for INSANITY MAX 30, which is Shaun T’s new insanity program that is coming out in December. This is just another reason to be a BeachBody Coach and to join our teams – you get to preview these things before they come out! So Brad, you are an Insanity man, and you have done it a few times. How would you compare that to what you just did?
Brad: Tougher, a lot of tougher. I think one of the biggest things about this workout is you are going to be pushed to your max – the point where… he knows what you are thinking. It’s almost like that point in Insanity when you are about to give up and Shaun will tell you exactly what you need at that time so you don’t take a break and keep going all the way through. It is one of the most challenging programs we have. It definitely kicked our butts.
“It is just upping the intensity.” – Jimmy
Jimmy: I love the fact it is 30 minutes and, for those that have done Insanity, it’s similar to where you are repeating the rounds, or at least in this preview disk, I don’t know if all those disks are that way. But you repeat the rounds, you go through something three times. But instead of like the initial Insanity, where it’s slow, medium, then go all out, its like go all out all three times with a really short break. The other thing I love about it is, the reason they call it maxed out, is the cast have a big chalkboard there, and they go as long as they can until the first break in the program, which is where you maxed out. Don’t worry, you are going to jump back in and finish. I think the first time I did it I maxed out at 9, then I moved to 11. I am still kind of hovering in the 11 to 12 minute. And you made it to nine, right Brad?
Brad: I made it to nine and a half today, and don’t feel that if you only make it to seven, eight, nine, or maybe even before that, that is OK. The point of this program is so you guys can improve and keep improving.
Jimmy: That is what I like. It’s an easy way to judge your progress. It is almost like having a fit test every day. That is pretty cool. Shaun does such a great job at queuing. And they said that there are a 150 new moves in this. And for those that have done Insanity, you will be familiar with them. Even T-25… there were a couple of moves that reminded me of that. But he hybrids moves together, like you are doing kicks but now we are adding punches, or it’s a one two three but now we are adding a high knee. It is just upping the intensity.
Brad: Keep in mind guys, if you are not at your best fitness level, it is OK to do this program. There is a modifier for every single move. There are 150 new moves, and there is a person in the video that is taking it down a notch, and you can select to keep the camera on just that person.
Jimmy: Which is great because when I was shooting the original Insanity, the whole thing was we didn’t want to modify it. It was an extreme program. And it is the only program BeachBody put out without a modifier. I get a lot of clients, customers, and people that work with me on my team that sometimes jump into Insanity probably before they should. They found ways to modify it. Now, with safety coming first, you will be able to follow a guy or a girl modifier that takes the moves down that notch.
What you can do to prepare
Jimmy: So, it comes out in December. What should people be doing now until it comes out in December?
Brad: I think you guys should really be working on advancing that fitness level. This is a challenging program, so talk to your BeachBody coach and start something like INSANITY , T-25, TurboFire, or something like that. Also, make sure your nutrition is on par. If you are in shape when this comes out, you are going to be thankful because you are going to be able to push that much harder.
Jimmy: I really would encourage you to get into some kind of support system. I know when I was losing 100lbs, it was a big deal for me to be around support systems. Sign up for the Facebook group on this page. We have support groups and challenge groups on Facebook to help you stay on point and be ready for this thing when it hits in December. I know we will have a big group that does this and everyone will be looking smoking for new years and to start next year. So thanks, guys, and holler at us. We look forward to serving you and helping you get insane.
Brad: Have a good day guys.
