Being in the fitness industry for over a decade has taught me so many things, and one of the most important things I’ve learned is that you need to be willing to experiment.
In this post, I’ll quickly walk you through what my morning routine is like and show you one of the things that I’ve been trying. I enjoy using my body as a guinea pig, and maybe a shot of B12 in the glutes would be beneficial.
A Series of Tiny Steps in My Morning Routine
My morning routine is super vital to my performance. Normally, it consists of me waking up and then immediately doing some kind of personal development. I pick up my phone, put on YouTube, and pick a motivational video that’s by Tony Robbins, Jim Roan, or Gary Boehner. I choose something to set my mindset because I have to detect my mind before it detects me.
Then it’s usually moving onto my body, like my pre-workout and a litany of supplements I take. I take my apple cider vinegar first, and a slew of different pills that get me moving.
Since I’ve been on the road, speaking, I feel that my body has been worn down somewhat. This morning, I found out that there are actually B12 shots and I’m always willing to use my body as a guinea pig. I’ve never done this before, but if you needed an immediate boost, I take B12 pills in the morning.
So, I wanted to check out if a shot of B12 is something that’s beneficial. I was feeling a little rundown last night, after all these interviews and speaking engagements that left my throat a little scratchy. This is me experimenting and adding one little piece here, and one little piece there. When somebody looks at my morning routine, they’d think that it’s super extensive.
I tell them “yes it is,” but it’s a bunch of tiny little steps over a long period wherein I grabbed a few good ideas from other people, and those collections of ideas became mine. So, I’m going to see how this goes and see if this is something else I want to add.
The Benefits of Vitamin Injections
Vitamin injections are amazing for energy, mental clarity, and focus. When you inject it, it goes straight into the bloodstream so it’s available to your cells right away. If you’re looking for a mood boost, methylfolate is nice.
Now, the fun part of taking B12 is that they’re injected directly into your bum. That way, all the goodness of the vitamin goes straight into the bloodstream, and it’s available to your cells instantly. It bypasses your digestive tract so you get high therapeutic doses delivered directly to the cells – making it fully bio-available.
A Little Experiment Can Go a Long Way
The lesson in all this is being willing to experiment. My morning routine is a really big deal to me. Over 11 years in the health and fitness industry, I’ve lost 100 pounds and I’ve helped other people get fit. I’m partially my own guinea pig so before you look at something and go, “Oh, well that’s bullshit, or I don’t know if that works, or I’m scared of needles,” try it. Because the best way to figure it out is just to test it yourself and see if it works for you.
Even the staff shared that she found out about vitamin injections many years back, way before it became popular. She remarked how vitamin injections helped her deal with the Epstein-Barr virus, and she found out that it works for her because she was willing to try.
So, here’s the lesson: Experiment things, continue to try these bio-hacks, and all these different little things add to our repertoire. I like to call it the health tool belt.
These vitamin injections are available at Shine Natural Medicine on Instagram, as well as in their center in Solana beach. You can come in in person, drop in anytime, get an injection, IV therapy, and then see one of the naturopaths, too.
When you experiment, you find out many interesting things. Some may work for you, others may not, but the lesson remains: you’ll never know until you try.
